I was just describing this exact theory to one of my students yesterday. Thank you for writing this (I've shared it with her too). Happy New Year and season of rest to you.
Perfect timing with this post. I had just written a FB post reflecting on a time in my life when my kids were little and I could move at a slower pace. Your post reminded me I still can! I love the three reflection questions--especially the "Rest" one as we creatives often feel once we start a project we must complete it.
This has given me fresh insight: how the absence of sound allows us to hear the very small noises like rain falling & etc., and how very cozy that is. I do resonate with minimizing effort, too. Happy baking, happy getting ready to learn to sew, happy quietness. 🥰
Oh I love this! A time to be gentle with ourselves.

That's great to hear! I'm so glad it's feeling relevant and hope it does for her too.
Your post makes me calm and happy. Serenity. ❤️

So glad this resonated! Yes, I hope you can slow down for yourself!
What a cozy, relaxing way to start the new year.
