About a month behind with this one, but had to chime in for a Tolkien post! Your illustrations for "Dragons" are perfectly evocative of the countryside that so influenced his imagination and storytelling. I recommend it to my library patrons whenever I get the chance!
Also wanted to throw two titles your way--"The King of Elfland's Daughter" (Dunsany) and "Lud-in-the-Mist" (Mirrlees). While the first is, of course, a classic, the second is decidedly a cult classic, and both embrace the sheer magic and wonder of fairy realms. If you haven't read them I do recommend!
As you can see from my own delay here, this is a space that lives outside the bounds of time! No comment is ever too late, and is always enjoyed. :) Thank you! So cool to hear you recommend "Dragons" at your library.
And oooo, I have not read both of these - I'm looking forward to checking them out! Thank you for the rec.
